On the 26th of March 2017, Hon. Kamili Mmbando the East Kahe Ward councilor met with the youth of Kiterini village in Kahe. The councilor conducted a meeting that later was turned into a hot discussion as he spoke to his fellow youth. The meeting was attended by many youth, both boys and girls.

However, it was later discovered that most girls in the village tend to shy away from such public meetings therefore most of them did not attend.

A lot was spoken during the meeting. But more specifically about the campaign, the councilor emphasized the youth on the importance of keeping themselves and their young sisters safe. He encouraged them to become part of the solution and not the problem. He told them that these young girls should be given the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

The meeting ended with the youth asking the councilor to help them with the problems they are facing now including the problem of unemployment.

KiliTech is preparing a project involving the youth to create employment for themselves through entrepreneurship.
